RUTH CHANNING

My graphic work is inspired by the experience of copperplate engraving. It is reminiscent of the "estampe galante", usually having two figures in an allegorical relationship. I work from imagination, using the figure as a means of expression.

About Ruth Channing 

Ruth Channing is a printmaker, sculptor, and painter. She was a student of W.S. Hayter at Atelier 17 in Paris in the 1960's. Channing maintains a printmaking workshop for intaglio media, in Baltimore, MD, U.S.A.
