Sigrid Hynell Fleischer
I am searching for textile sensibility in my pictures, even if much of the material, in reality, is paper-based. Structure and pattern is important for me, having my background from the textile department of the National Academy of the Arts in Oslo, Norway. It is, however, the expression itself that counts.
The daily life inspires me, and I try to express a presence of it.
I take photos that I print out, and paste it to used fabrics or clothes(of importance for myself, and the picture), with the white side out. Later with the help of water and a sponge, I remove most of the white paper, so that the image shows on the fabric.
