Description
THE(UN)SCENE, a multimedia art show just one block from the Armory Art Show in New York City, has earned strong reviews and a passionate following in its first two years. For its third installment, we are immediately seeking interns with a genuine love of art and desire to contribute to the promotion of passion over fashion in the current art market paradigm. The applicant should be a detail-oriented team player who questions the current direction of the art world and wants to work with a team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to celebrating the true spirit of art.
Responsibilities
Event Production
- Assist the Executive Producer with administrative duties
- Liaise between EP and other Department heads
- Liaise with sponsors and in-kind donors
Curation
- Assist head Curator with administrative duties
- Liaise with participating artists, collectors and contributors
Exhibition Design
- Assist Operations Director with administrative duties
- Liaise with materials suppliers and in-kind donors, and manage supplies
- Assist in construction of site-specific initiatives and installation of works
- Assist tech crew with various video mapping and projection initiatives
Marketing/PR/Social Media
- Liaise with Marketing and PR contractors
- Computer graphics
- Post on and monitor social media networks and blogs
Sales
- Assist Sales director with cataloging work and art handling
- Data entry and management of the artist database (Collector Systems)
